SEPTEMBERFEST CORN & SAUSAGE ROAST
The committee has been meeting on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. in the clubhouse planning this year's Septemberfest. There are only 2 more meeting dates before the big day: Tuesday August 29 & Tuesday September 12 You're all invited to attend. You may remember that last year the club celebrated its 70th ANNIVERSARY. We truly are one of Edwardsburg's Best Kept Secrets. Won't you help us make this a great event! It takes about 50 volunteers to pull off this event in style. We have several members who signed up as "working members" and this is one of our FUN FUNDRAISING events that we can use your help with during the next 3 weeks!
Many members took posters at last week's Membership meeting. PLEASE post them around your towns, workplaces, grocery stores, etc. More are available in the clubhouse. Special Thanks to US BUSINESS SYSTEMS for once again printing these for us!
-We have many vinyl banners that need to be placed at specific street corners. This will require driving metal fence posts in most instances and securing the banners to them. A crew of 6 people would be great and could get them all placed on a Saturday morning, If you can get a small crew together and place these PLEASE call Jerry Bolock for details 574-298-6730. We would like to get these placed by Labor Day weekend for maximum impact.
-A half page ad will be placed on the back cover of the Edwardsburg VOICE. Check it out! -We will be utilizing free t.v. & radio spots. -We are also utilizing paid advertising during the morning drive time on 95.3 MNC radio.
-We will also use social media via our facebook page (Edwardsburg Conservation Club). Members can help by hitting SHARE and by using the INVITE button to invite your friends and family as you see our ad in your facebook newsfeed.
ADVANCE TICKET SALES
We can use help selling tickets in advance. See committee members and Don Henley, Jr. for tickets. Purchasing in advance SAVES you and your friends & family MONEY! $$ !
Adults are $10.00 in advance and Kids 12 yrs and younger are $5.00 in advance.
Tickets at the gate will be $12.00 and $6.00 respectively. All kids 6 yrs and under are admitted FREE.
TICKET BOOTH DAY OF THE EVENT
Please contact Fran Yeager (574) 264-3035 or Kathy Lemna (574) 226-3089 if willing to help with ticket sales for a couple hours throughout the day and to get scheduled for a few hours. We plan to make entry faster and more user friendly this year, but this will require several people staffing the booths from 3-11 p.m. Please sign up for a time slot. There will be the entry ticket booth and a second booth where you can purchase drink tickets.
PRE-EVENT CLEAN-UP * SET-UP * CLEAN-UP
This typically takes place several days and evenings the week of the event; definitely Thursday and Friday nights.
General grounds clean-up, preparing grills and corn steamers, power-washing the pavilions, tables, benches, trash receptacles.
Setting up large tents, canopies, tables, chairs, cooking and serving areas. Preparing the horseshoe pits, minnow race area, corn hole, etc.
Please contact Committee members listed above. We also need volunteers to help keep trash cans emptied throughout the event. Let us know what hours you can cover. And of course there is always tear down and clean up the morning after in order to be ready for Sunday afternoon trap shooting.
COOKS & SERVERS
Sounds like we once again have our loyal crew of sausage and corn chefs lined up to fix us delicious corn & sausage.
We can still use help with serving the food, running items for the servers, prepping food and melting butter, etc. Also needed are people to pick up the corn and the sausage prior to the event. Call Fran Yeager (574) 264-3035 if you can volunteer for a few hours and she will get you on the schedule.
Domestic and Craft Beer will be available, as well as wine and soft drinks & water. Contact Sherrie Weller to get scheduled to work for a couple hours either at the outside bar or the downstairs bar inside. (269) 228-0045.
Looking for people to organize and run Corn Hole and Horseshoe Tournaments. OR we can just have the games available for whoever wishes to play. We have one Corn Hole Game and would like to borrow at least two more sets. Contact Brenda if you are willing to let the club borrow your set.We also are looking for one set of horseshoes to borrow.
Once again we will hold the famous Minnow races for Kids and Adults alike. Would like 2 three person crews-one to work 3-5:30 and one to work 5:30-8:00 p.m. Contests for Kids such as the EggToss,
Gunny Sack Races and 3 Legged Races will take place at approximately 4 p.m. Times are based on when kids are here but all games for kids will be available between 3 and 6 p.m.
A 5 station Bounce House will also be available from 3-8 p.m. Need someone to keep an eye on this from 3-4:00, 4-5:00, 5-6:00, 6-7:00 and 7-8:00 p.m.
Also looking for a couple volunteer face painters.

We will be selling raffle tickets on an AR-15 on one raffle and an HD TV on another ticket now through Septemberfest See Dan Weigel to help sell tickets ahead of time! Other small raffles and 50/50's will also occur throughout the afternoon and evening. One of these will be a YETI cooler! You'll have to come out to see what else will be available.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL 500+ OF OUR MEMBERS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THIS YEAR'S SEPTEMBERFEST. THIS IS ONE OF EDWARDSBURG'S BEST KEPT SECRETS. HELP US SPREAD THE WORD AND MAKE THIS A GREAT FUNDRAISER THAT WILL ALLOW US TO EXPAND & CONTINUE OFFERING EDUCATIONAL & SPORTING OPPORTUNITIES TO OUR MEMBERS AND TO THE PUBLIC. HELP SUPPORT OUR ON-GOING QUEST TO IMPROVE OUR FACILITIES; INCLUDING BUILDINGS AND SHOOTING RANGES! THANKS EVERYONE!!
